The National Academy for Finance and Economics organizes the Shiraka Public Finance Management Training since 2013. This programme is organized in cooperation with the ministry of Finance, the ministry of Foreign affairs and the Netherlands Court of Audit and is open for participants in 11 countries in Northern Africa and the Middle East. The focus of the training is on reforms of public expenditure management, modernization of the national budgets and on the exchange of best practices in the participating countries.
The training consists of a training week in The Hague and a training week in the region. This year the second term of the training took place in Casablanca, Morocco. 25 participants took part in the training.
